FAVOURITE PLACE IN THE WORLD |

Paradise

noun par·a·dise \ˈper-ə-ˌdīs, -ˌdīz, ˈpa-rə-\
: a very beautiful, pleasant, or peaceful place that seems to be perfect.
: a state of complete happiness

Here's a map, showing the 5 points that make up Cinque Terre. Monterosso, Vernazza, Cornigua, Manarola & Riomaggiore. The coast of Italy is absolutely stunning!

Day 1 -We got to Riomaggiore, the first town this is where we stayed at an authentic B&B, where we got the true local feeling from a cute old Italian man. We explored the adorable town, colourful alley ways, banners and markets.

We got famous fish'n'chips from Mamma Mia and enjoyed Italian beer.

We found the most amazing swimming spot and enjoyed the clear water, skin becoming sun kissed from sunbathing on the beautiful coast. Hungry after the days adventures we went and got my favourite pizza and found a pretty spot to eat.

Day 2 - Today we travelled the 5 towns, first stop Montrosso. Here we found amazing white beaches and spectacular views. The coast has amazing rocks one sculpted as Neptune holding the waves at bay.

We then committed to a two hour hike. Through vineyards, with majestical coastal views the heat didn't stop us. Along the way hidden in the bushes was an old fellow playing music, we stopped at his stall where he had homemade lemonade! Refreshingly made my day.

We continued on our hike, with views like postcards, feeling surreal and dreamlike.

Now after going on a hike in the heat the last thing you'd want to do is climb up stairs....well to get to Cornigua you have to go up 382! Of course once we reached the top it was worth the wait. A fairytale looking town with cute boutique beachy stalls.

Next stop Manarola, the smallest town of the five. We found a mint swimming spot with heaps of cliffs to jump off. Needing the cool off after all the walking.

Day 3 - We decided to go visit the main township La Spezia, the main way to transport are trains. The trains throughout Cinque Terre are freaking insane. Every carriage is so packed as they only run hourly, sometimes there wasn't enough room and we would have to wait hours to get where we wanted to go.
La Spezia was a sweet town, we went shopping and ate lots. Exploring the coastline and harbour. We returned to Riomaggiore where we enjoyed paradise, swimming, tanning and exploring.
The water sparkles in paradise.
For dinner we went back into La Spezia and treated ourselves to classic pizza and some of the best gelato I've tasted! On our way home we got lost and screwed around by the trains, but its all apart of the adventure right?!

Day 4 - Today we were going to partake in help Vernazza, where you donate money then go and help locals restore vineyards destroyed from floods, feeling the true local vibe as they put on a true Italian feast to thank you. Sadly it cancelled, so we decided to take a spontaneous trip to Pisa! Tuscany was absolutely stunning and the leaning tower lived up to all my expectations. Heres a Pisa Italy.

Wandering the Tuscany streets I found a shop that goes back into fam history. Fun fact - Mori, literally meaning, "my master," or "my lord."

Unfortunately it was our last day so of course we enjoyed the crystal clear water and sun, along with a picnic.

We wandered the streets, an old man insisted on engraving a piece of copper for me. The locals here are so friendly. Ending our last night at an adorable bar amongst the colourful houses with refreshing spritz.

Now I'm sure you'll see why this was my favourite place in the whole world! Originally only meant to have stayed 2 nights, but I fell in love so we changed our plans to explore more of this magical paradise. I promise I will be back.
